Description

The BC368 is a versatile, rack-based solution designed to support a wide range of broadcast video and audio signals. Each unit features two empty SFP carriers, allowing users to install optical, coaxial, Ethernet, HDMI or any SFP cartridges of their choice, making the device highly adaptable for diverse operational requirements.

The input and output signal formats are determined by the installed SFPs, enabling optical and/or electrical format conversion. This flexibility allows the BC368 to handle tasks such as distribution, format conversion, monitoring, and wavelength management, including CWDM.

The BC368 is ideal for Systems Engineers seeking a flexible “toolkit” for on-the-fly problem-solving, as well as for high-quality conversion in fixed installations. Supported applications include:

• Conversion to and from Composite, DVI, optical, and SDI formats.
• Regeneration of optical signals, e.g., multimode to singlemode.
• Wavelength remapping within existing fibre systems.

BC368 (2 SFP) and BC369 (4 SFP) are similar products which are modular card versions. The cards are part of the Bluebell Opticom BC Series and are compatible with all BC Series racks and enclosures, including the 3RU BC100/BC100i (15 cards) and the 1RU BC160/BC160i (6 cards). Signal and card status monitoring is available through the BM102/BM102i internal webpage or via SNMP for comprehensive network management.
