Description

The BC561 Series provides a compact fibre interface solution for transporting 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, SD-SDI and DVB-ASI signals over fibre optic cable, supporting both transmission and reception within remote camera and broadcast workflows. The BC561T transmitter converts electrical SDI signals to optical, automatically sensing, equalising and reclocking the incoming signal prior to transmission over a single fibre, while the BC561R receiver converts the optical signal back to electrical SDI using a trans-impedance and limiting amplifier followed by output reclocking to maintain signal integrity. A reverse path carried over a second fibre enables transport of two differential analogue audio channels together with a composite/genlock signal, providing cost-effective fibre I/O for compact remote camera systems. Available in multimode, singlemode, WDM and CWDM variants, the BC561 cards occupy a single slot within the BC100 3RU 19″ rack-mount frame, which supports up to 15 single-slot cards, and can alternatively be supplied in rugged standalone enclosures for field deployment. Signal and card monitoring is supported via SNMP using the BM102 network card, ensuring reliable system supervision across installations.
