Description


The BC630 Series provides fibre-optic transport of digital AES/EBU audio, supporting up to four channels of AES audio transmission and reception over a single optical fibre. The BC630T operates as a transmitter, auto-sensing and equalising incoming AES signals before multiplexing and converting them for optical transmission, while the BC630R functions as a receiver, converting the incoming optical signal back into electrically reclocked AES/EBU audio outputs. Dual AES outputs are provided per channel on the receiver to allow simultaneous main distribution and local monitoring. Designed to maintain maximum signal integrity, all Bluebell cards deliver low-jitter, high-quality optical transport. The BC630T can be paired with a BC620R for AES-to-analogue conversion, while the BC630R can operate with a BC620T to convert analogue inputs to AES outputs, enabling flexible audio workflows. Available in multimode, singlemode, WDM and CWDM variants, both cards occupy a single slot within BC100 (3RU) or compatible BC Series frames, supporting up to 15 cards per chassis, with SNMP monitoring available via the BM102 network card. For standalone deployments, the units can also be housed in rugged individual enclosures.
