SDVoE UHD HDMI Extender
Description
The BN382 series encoders and decoders provide a compact and cost-effective SDVoE solution for high-performance AV-over-IP applications. Designed for uncompressed 4K video distribution, they enable true 4K@60Hz signal transmission over standard 10GbE Ethernet networks with zero frame latency.
Built on advanced IP protocol exchange technology, the BN382 series allows flexible point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and multipoint-to-multipoint matrix switching via a network switch. Alternatively, an encoder can connect directly to a decoder using an Ethernet cable, functioning as an HDMI 2.0 extender set for high-quality video transmission.
Supporting HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2, the BN382 series ensures compatibility with a wide range of 4K video formats, including 4K/60 8-bit 4:4:4, 4K/60 10-bit 4:2:2, and 4K/60 12-bit 4:2:0 HDR. When the raw data rate exceeds the Ethernet bandwidth, light compression technology preserves image quality while maintaining smooth transmission. The result is an uncompressed viewing experience without any delay.
With a compact design, the BN382 series is suitable for installations in space-constrained environments while maintaining compatibility with other SDVoE series products. The system is fully supported by Semtech BlueRiver AV Manager, ensuring easy integration and management. This makes the BN382 an ideal choice for professional AV distribution, corporate environments, large-scale video walls, and live event productions requiring reliable 4K IP delivery.
