Description
The Shax System from Bluebell offers a versatile solution for deploying broadcast cameras equipped with standard SMPTE 304M hybrid connectors using ordinary singlemode optical fibre. Designed to support SD-SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI, 12G-SDI, 4K, 8K, and HDR signals, this system replaces the traditional fibre/copper hybrid cable between the camera and CCU with lightweight, standard singlemode fibre.
Ideal for use in stadiums, arenas, and concert halls with pre-installed fibre networks, the Shax System provides a practical and efficient alternative. Both ends of the system are housed in compact, ruggedised aluminium enclosures, making it well-suited for Outside Broadcast and Flyaway applications. The system allows cameras to be powered locally, extending their operational range while eliminating the need for long, bulky hybrid cables.
Connectivity with duplex singlemode fibre is achieved via standard SC, LC, ST, or FC connectors, ensuring compatibility and ease of integration. The Shax System is a reliable and streamlined solution for extending camera performance in challenging broadcast environments.
