Bluebell Opticom at NAB 2022

Bluebell Opticom, the award-winning technology provider of optical transport solutions continues to develop market-leading products for the media and entertainment industry. For NAB 2022 we are showcasing a number of new products which are being launched at the show:

New — 12G Silhouette Sync

The Bluebell Silhouette range of enclosures allows bespoke solutions to be housed in one of three body styles depending on the number of electrical, optical and power input/outputs required. The basis of Silhouette is to facilitate a custom design in a compact weatherproof enclosure whether it be for a camera-back adaptor, throw-down, or a unit housed in a rugged flight case.

New at NAB 2022 is the 12G Silhouette Sync which is a throw-down solution for transporting 12G-SDI, RS232, RS422/485 GPIO, Ethernet and Genlock. Suitable for various applications the 12G Silhouette Sync is a versatile solution in your every-changing requirements.

New – BN810 Ethernet to optical converter

Multi-rate Ethernet to Fibre Converter Card 10/100/1000BaseT The BN810 is a copper twisted pair to fibre optic media converter for conversion between copper twisted pair 10Base-T, 100Base-T or 1000Base-T data to fibre optic 100Base-FX or 1000Base-X format. Data isolation transformers are provided for the twisted pair input and output. LEDs provide power, network and fibre activity indication. All Bluebell products are designed to retain maximum integrity of the signal path offering excellent jitter free optical transport. The BN810 is available in multimode and singlemode variants to suit any fibre application. Versions can be selected which provide full duplex operation over two fibres or a single fibre with distances of 120km achievable with the right SFP. CWDM versions are available to support the ITU G.694.2 grid specifications.

New — BN324 Series

The BN324 Series is a range of compact, stand-alone fibre interfaces, which are primarily intended for video OB applications of up to 4K format. They allow SDI video signals meeting SD, HD, 3G, 6G or 12G standards to be transmitted over fibre-optic cable.

There are four variants comprising the range:

BN324T transmitter – two independent channels, dual SDI inputs to dual fibre outputs

BN324R receiver – two independent channels, dual fibre inputs to dual SDI outputs

BN324TR transceiver – two independent channels: channel A is configured as a transmitter, and channel B as a receiver

BN324A “adaptive” variant – may be supplied with an SFP module of the customer’s choice, or with an empty SFP cage. It allows users to fit SFP modules of their own choice to suit different applications. Depending on the type of SFP module, the BN324A will automatically configure itself as a dual transmitter, a dual receiver, or a transceiver.

New — BN328 Quad 12G and Ethernet transport solution

The BN328 is a compact solution allowing transport of up to four SD, HD, 3G, 6G or 12G signals and Multi-rate Ethernet converter for conversion between copper twisted pair 10Base-T, 100Base-T or 1000Base-T to fibre for distances up to 80km. Supporting quad link 12G-SDI for the latest 8K cameras the BN328 is a versatile unit which can also be used for connecting four PTZ cameras plus Ethernet control over a single fibre optic link to the receive unit.
