3G-SDI, Dual Port Gigabit and Genlock Transmitter
3G-SDI, Dual Port Gigabit and Genlock Transmitter Expanding upon the successful BlueNano range the BN385 is designed for the cost effective transport of 3G-SDI and GbE signals over fibre. The interface is ideally suited for links to robotic/POV cameras, and a typical application would use one of the HD paths for PGM video, the other for viewfinder overlay/menus, and the GbE link for both camera control and pan-tilt-zoom operation. The BN385 features two 3G-SDI paths from the camera position with an optional genlock return, plus a dual-port GigE link on a single singlemode fibre with optional dual-fibre operation. The unit is packaged in a robust stand-alone enclosure for use in an OB environment, but it also can be used with a BC series rack at the equipment room/truck end of the link. The BN385/R/ST1/IEC/PO unit has an IEC mains input (100-250 VAC) with a local DC output to power the camera. Other variants are available without genlock, with multiple fibres, DC power or Neutrik and SMPTE 3k connectors. Units are fully compatible with the BC Series of modular cards and frames allowing remote units to be fully integrated into the main OB or CAR network.
